UEA access fixed

 

A number of you have been having problems logging into the UEA e-resources, with an error message appearing about cookies.  This error now appears to have been fixed - please let us know if you continue to experience problems.

HE Survey 2011/12

 

We need you to tell us how your HE experience has been at the College in 2011/12.   

By anonymously completing a short questionnaire, we’ll get feedback on what we are doing well, what things you like and don’t like and what areas we could improve.  So please follow the instructions below to complete the survey between Monday 9^th Jan and Friday 28^th Jan.

 

Just follow these 3 easy steps:

1. Log on to the following link:  www.qdpservices.com/survey   (This link will also appear under the “My Announcements” section of the student home page on Blackboard.)

 

2. Enter:

· Your student number as the “login code” (the number on their ID badge. This is only so we can connect your responses up with your course, we will not be able to see your individual response)

· 18867 as the “survey code”

3. Complete the 23 questions and press “finish” (NB if you exit without pressing finish they will not have submitted any information.  If you do exit without pressing “finish”, you can re-start the survey and complete it by pressing “finish”)

You can only do the survey once, but we’d like everyone to give us their views.

Problems accessing SportDiscus journals database?

We are currently experiencing problems with accessing the SportDiscus database, available via UEA.

If you need to access SportDiscus, follow this path:
> Blackboard
> Information Store
> UEA button
> Scroll down to UEA e-resources link
> Select Academic Search Elite
> Select "Choose databases", and change   database to SportDiscus.

We are now receiving i newspaper, part of the Independent newspaper group.

It contains a concise round-up world news, ideal for a quick catch-up.

Do you have a spare 10 minutes between lectures? Pop into the Information Store and browse the magazines and newspapers, on the right as you come in.

Welcome back and Happy New Year!

So, did you make any New year's resolutions? I made a few, one of which is to eat more healthily - my desk looks like a greengrocers!

We are open!

We are open this week from 9am to 5pm (Monday to Friday). It is lovely and quiet if you need to concentrate on assignments.

Please note - we are closed from this Friday until we re-open on Wednesday 4th January. (We are closed on Tuesday 3rd January for staff training).

The last day for second class Christmas posting is...

...Saturday 17th December.

We sell 1st and 2nd class stamps in the Infromation Store, so no need to brave the city at lunch time to buy stamps.

Lots of Christmas cards to post?

First Class stamps are 46p and Second Class stamps are 36p.


So save some pennies by posting early!
